New Post: Video Display

At present I have not found any CompositeC1 built player options other than Flash, Vimeo, and YouTube so you'll have to roll your own. Of course, HTML5 has video play capability built in but you'll have to code the page yourself and it isn't backwards compatible for any browsers that do not support HTML5.

Having said that, Microsoft Azure Media Services looks like a good option that hits on all the points that @burningice had mentioned. I have not experimented with it yet but I believe that Azure Media Services powered the 2012 Summer Olympics coverage (at least for some broadcasters) so it is most likely robust enough to handle most other requirements. I believe there is a cost associated with it and you have to upload your video to your own Microsoft Media Services Account, but the benefit is it handles all the conversion to the various media formats, bitrates, etc. and greatly simplifies the implementation without displaying branding from other sites and does not impact the bandwidth of your site (although you do pay for the bandwidth used through Azure Media Services).

Here is the URL that offers a good intro and has some sample code to get you started.
http://aka.ms/azuremediaplayer?url=%2F%2Famssamples.streaming.mediaservices.windows.net%2F91492735-c523-432b-ba01-faba6c2206a2%2FAzureMediaServicesPromo.ism%2Fmanifest

Click the "code" tab underneath the player to see how relatively easy it is to add the code to your site. There is also a link for full documentation and samples.

I hope this helps.

Scott.
