So you have some emails that your website is sending out and now you want to add Google Analytics Utm tracking to the links? You can of course force the editors to go through their templates and update all links but that is both cumbersome and prone to errors.
With the newest plugin to CompositeC1Contrib.Email, its now as easy as right-clicking the email template, enabling Google Analytics for the template and filling out Source and Campaign. Then the Utm parameters will be added to all emails sent, and if you enable Open Tracking a small image is being added as well (https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/protocol/v1/email)
Go get the code here before your neighbor https://bitbucket.org/burningice/compositec1contrib.email/src/324b6fd7a0a48ef5d64606176666dac4626122ef/Email.GoogleAnalytics/?at=default
