Sorry for me being assumptios, but you shouldn't take all the file-names i list literally. You said 'Composite.News', so i assumed that was the name of the datatype. Let me rephrase
Have you made sure that you don't have a explicitly defined TypeForm for the datatype? Look in ~/App_Data/Composite/DynamicTypeForms/[namespace] to see if there is a file named [interface].xml.
If thats the case, you need to either

- Edit the file so it contains the new fields for Publish and UnPublish dates.
