Interesting, i didn't know there where these alternatives implementations of XTD - so far i only knew that you could use an msbuild-task assembly and apply transformations that way, but imo that seemed a bit hacky. But no need to worry about that anymore since MS have chosen to freely distribute the XDT core engine.
There is one reason for not setting max-version of Contrib Razor to 3.2, which is that it has an implementation of this feature request http://compositec1.codeplex.com/workitem/1226 which many sites depend upon, so instead you can choose whether to use default Razor or Contrib Razor. I see though that i should make some checks to the installer, so it supports disabling the default one during install.
If you didn't vote on the feature request, then i encourage you to - hopefully one day the features of Contrib Razor can be merged back into C1.
