New Post: Best Way to Run Separate Worker Thread?

Hi,
I am looking at ways to run a semi independent Worker Process within C1 which life cycle is not managed by C1. I would however, like to have the process life cycle end if C1 crashes for instance.

It is important that C1 doesn't try ending the thread in its management cycles, yet would like C1 to know that it exists.

Besides dropping a call into the Global.asax file to begin a separate Worker Process Thread,

Is there a preferred method that the C1 team propose for achieving this?
