New Post: How to manually install patches?

If you open the package zip files you can see what changes the patch contains. There are usuaylly just two types of changes

1. Configuration file changes, such as web.config and composite.config. These changes will go in and add, edit or remove entries from these files
2. New or changed files. These will always just be added or overwrite existing files - no merging going on here. This is usually dll-files in the /bin folder or js/aspx/ascx files under /composite
   

Installing the patches for 3.2 are quite easy to do by hand, you shouldn't have any problems there.
