As LESS support has now been added, it would be great to get support for SASS, which is even more powerful.
It would be nice at least if the syntax was supported in the editor.
The pre-processing could then at least be handled by the editor using a watch in the background if there's no way to implement pre-processing into the CMS. But the ideal scenario would be the latter!

You can use the Composite.Web.Css.Sass package for SASS support. Please see http://www.composite.net/Add-on-Market/Packages/Composite.Web.Css.Sass
