The package repository lacks many essentials parts like
- Proper overview of all packages, searching and browsing with categories and tags
- Better package description, version history etc.
- Ability to vote and make comments for packages
- 3rd party vendors needs to be able to upload and maintain their own packages which will be available through Composites Package server
- Public statistics of how many times a package has been downloaded
